Die Konrad Fischer Galerie freut sich, ihre nunmehr dritte Einzelausstellung von Tatjana Valsang zu eröffnen.
Auf meist großformatigen Leinwänden inszeniert die in Wuppertal lebende Malerin komplexe abstrakte Farb-, Form- und Bildräume in Acryl. An der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf absolvierte sie 1993 als Meisterschülerin bei Prof. Dieter Krieg. 2011 stellte sie ihre Arbeiten erstmals vor einem breiteren Publikum in der Konrad Fischer Galerie aus, gefolgt von einer Einzelausstellung 2013 in der Von der Heydt Kunsthalle in Wuppertal.
Tatjana Valsangs Technik des Nass-in-Nass unter Benutzung extrem verflüssigter Acrylfarbe erzeugt zahlreiche Malschichten im Bild, teils opak, teils durchlässig. Dabei kombiniert sie die malerische Geste mit dem Zufall der organisch-chemischen Prozesse der Malmittel und organisiert so den Bildraum, verleiht ihm Tiefe, Bewegung und Dynamik.
Kirsten Voigt beschreibt treffend die Wirkung der Arbeiten von Tatjana Valsang: „Im 21. Trained at the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf, she graduated with Prof. Dieter Krieg in 1993. In 2011, she introduced her work to a broader audience with her first solo show at the Konrad Fischer Galerie, followed by a solo exhibition at the Von der Heydt Kunsthalle in Wuppertal in 2013.
Tatjana Valsang orchestrates a complex interplay of color, form and space in her mostly large-format canvases. Using the method of wet-on-wet with extremely liquefied acrylic paint, she combines multiple layers of varying transparency. The result is an interplay of the painterly gesture and the coincidence of the organic chemical process, a pictorial space with depth and movement.
